Stanislav Pochekin schloss sein Studium am Gnesin-Institut in Moskau ab. Zu seinen Lehrern zählten Eduard Mirzoian und Theodor Gutman. Nach Abschluss seines Studiums unterrichtete er am Konservatorium in Jekaterinburg (Russland).
1989 ging er nach Kuba, wo er als Professor am „Instituto Superior del Arte“ in Havanna tätig war.
Im Laufe seiner Lehrtätigkeit hat er mehr als 250 Pianisten auf ihre Abschlussprüfungen vorbereitet. Für seine pädagogischen Leistungen wurde S. Pochekin vom russischen Kulturministerium mit einer Ehrenmedaille ausgezeichnet.
Sein umfangreiches Repertoire reicht vom Barock bis zur zeitgenössischen Musik. Er trat als Solist und mit Orchestern unter der Leitung sehr bekannter Künstler wie M. Paverman, F. Glushenko, I. Lapinsh, R. S. Ferrer, J. Medina und vielen anderen auf.
1993 wurde er an das „Conservatorio del Liceo de Barcelona“ in Spanien berufen.
Seine Schüler haben mehr als 50 Preise bei nationalen und internationalen Wettbewerben gewonnen.
Prof. Pochekin wird regelmäßig von bedeutenden Institutionen zu Meisterkursen in Europa, Asien und Amerika eingeladen, darunter die Juilliard School, das Yamaha Artist Center und die University of Minnesota. Er ist Jurymitglied bei nationalen und internationalen Wettbewerben, unter anderem in Italien, Frankreich, Spanien, Portugal, Mexiko, den USA, Kuba und Russland.
Seit 1995 ist S. Pochekin Leiter der Klavierabteilung am Conservatorio del Liceo in Barcelona und Professor an der Klavierakademie in Murrhardt (Deutschland). Seit der Gründung der Barcelona Piano Academy – Summer International Piano Festival im Jahr 2012 ist er dort als Klavierdozent tätig und fungiert als künstlerischer Leiter des Internationalen Klavierwettbewerbs in Andorra.
Stanislav Pochekin completed his studies at the Gnesin Institute in Moscow. Among his teachers were Eduard Mirzoian and Theodor Gutman. On the completion of his studies he taught at the Conservatoire in Ekaterinburg (Russia).
In 1989 he went to Cuba where he worked as a professor in Havana at the “Instituto Superior del Arte”.
During his teaching career he has prepared more than 250 pianists for diplomas. S. Pochekin has been was awarded with an Honorable Medal by the Ministry of Culture of Russia for his pedagogical achievements.
His vast repertoire extends from the baroque to the contemporary music. He has performed as soloist and with orchestras conducted by very famous artists such as M. Paverman, F. Glushenko, I. Lapinsh. R.S. Ferrer, J. Medina and many others.
In 1993 he was appointed to the “Conservatorio del Liceo de Barcelona” in Spain.
His pupils have won more than 50 prizes in national and international competitions.
Prof. Pochekin is regularly invited by important institutions to give masterclasses in Europe, Asia and America, such as Juilliard School, Yamaha Artist Center, University of Minnesota, etc. He is a jury member at national and international competitions, including competitions in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, USA, Cuba and Russia.
Since 1995 S. Pochekin has been the Director of Piano Department at the Conservatory del Liceo in Barcelona and professor at the Klavierakademie in Murrhardt (Germany). He has been a piano faculty member at the Barcelona Piano Academy - Summer International Piano Festival since its foundation in 2012, and is Artistic director of the International Piano Competition in Andorra.
