Im Jahr 2027 kann bereits die 25. Internationale Klavierakademie in Murrhardt stattfinden. Dies freut mich ganz besonders. Die Internationale Klavierakademie ist seit vielen Jahren ein Ereignis, das unsere Stadt kulturell bereichert und weit über die Stadtgrenzen hinaus Beachtung findet. Seit einem Vierteljahrhundert erhalten talentierte Pianistinnen und Pianisten im Rahmen dieses Meisterkurses zum Ende der baden-württembergischen Schulferien 10 Tage Unterricht bei renommierten und profilierten Professorinnen und Professoren.In 2027, the International Piano Academy in Murrhardt will already be held for the 25th time. This is a source of particular joy to me. For many years, the International Piano Academy has been an event that enriches our town culturally and attracts attention far beyond our city limits. For a quarter of a century now, talented pianists have received ten days of tuition from renowned, distinguished professors as part of this master course, held at the end of the Baden-Württemberg school holidays.
Die künstlerische Leitung der Klavierakademie liegt bei Professor Christian Pohl von der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Leipzig. Seit 2021 hat er diese Funktion inne und sie seinerzeit vom spiritus rector und Mitbegründer der Internationalen Klavierakademie in Murrhardt Prof. Felix Gottlieb übernommen. Dies zeigt eine besondere Kontinuität unserer Internationalen Klavierakademie. Die Geschäftsführung liegt seit Anbeginn an bei Herrn Uwe Matti, was dies unterstreicht.The artistic direction of the Piano Academy lies with Professor Christian Pohl of the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theatre Leipzig. He has held this role since 2021, having taken it over from the spiritus rector and co-founder of the International Piano Academy in Murrhardt, Prof. Felix Gottlieb. This reflects the remarkable continuity of our International Piano Academy — underscored further by the fact that Mr Uwe Matti has served as its managing director from the very beginning.
Die Internationale Klavierakademie in Murrhardt hat einen besonderen Geist. Den wunderbaren Geist, dass die Musik Menschen unterschiedlicher Nationen, Religionen und Länder friedlich und dem Schönen dienend zusammenbringt. Vor allem der Musik als der einzigen Weltsprache aller Nationen dieser Erde. Und die Musik schafft darüber hinaus Raum und Ruhe und ist selbst Sprache da und dort, wo oft Worte fehlen. Ganz gemäß dem Ausspruch des dänischen Schriftstellers und Dichters Hans Christian Andersen: „Musik spricht dort, wo Worte fehlen“.The International Piano Academy in Murrhardt has a special spirit — the wonderful spirit of music bringing together people of different nations, religions and countries, peacefully and in service of beauty. Above all, music as the one true world language shared by all nations of this earth. Music also creates space and stillness, and is itself a language wherever words often fail — in keeping with the words of the Danish writer and poet Hans Christian Andersen: “Music speaks where words fail.”

Im Zuge der Internationalen Klavierakademie Murrhardt haben bereits 135 Konzerte stattgefunden. Rund 800 Studentinnen und Studenten aus 52 Ländern und von allen fünf Kontinenten waren in Murrhardt Absolventen der Klavierakademie.In the course of the International Piano Academy Murrhardt, 135 concerts have already taken place. Around 800 students from 52 countries and all five continents have graduated from the Piano Academy here in Murrhardt.
Murrhardt ist damit für die Klaviermusik ein besonderer Anziehungspunkt und mit der Internationalen Klavierakademie haben wir ein besonderes Ereignis für Murrhardt und die ganze Region, was ein großer Mosaikstein im Gesamtbild der Kulturstadt Murrhardt ist. Unsere Stadt konnte nun schon wiederholt unter Beweis stellen, dass wir nicht nur eine Kleinstadt mit ausgeprägtem Kulturangebot sind, sondern im Herzen des Schwäbisch-Fränkischen Waldes auch ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und damit ein idealer Tagungsort.Murrhardt has thus become a special magnet for piano music, and with the International Piano Academy we have a special event for Murrhardt and the whole region — a major piece in the overall mosaic of Murrhardt as a town of culture. Time and again, our town has proven that we are not just a small town with a rich cultural offering, but also, in the heart of the Schwäbisch-Fränkischer Wald, a place to feel at home — and therefore an ideal venue.
Im Gegenzug wird unser Städtle über die Tage der Internationalen Klavierakademie von den Studentinnen und Studenten und den Lehrkräften mit wunderbarer Musik beschenkt. Dass Murrhardt für einige Tage im Jahr zu einem Treffpunkt der internationalen Klavierszene wird, erfüllt uns mit Stolz. Die Akademie schafft Begegnungen zwischen Kulturen, sie fördert junge Talente auf ihrem Weg und sie schenkt der Bevölkerung sowie unseren Gästen unvergessliche musikalische Momente.In return, our little town is treated to wonderful music by the students and teaching staff throughout the days of the International Piano Academy. It fills us with pride that Murrhardt becomes, for a few days each year, a meeting point of the international piano scene. The Academy creates encounters between cultures, supports young talents on their way, and gives our residents and guests unforgettable musical moments.

Roland Krüger ist ein international renommierter Pianist und Professor für Klavier an der Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover. Ausgebildet bei Oleg Maisenberg, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling und Krystian Zimerman, gewann er 2001 den 1. Preis und den Publikumspreis beim Concours de Genève. Seine internationale Konzerttätigkeit führte ihn in bedeutende Säle und zu renommierten Festivals.Roland Krüger is an internationally renowned pianist and professor of piano at the University of Music, Drama and Media in Hanover. Having studied under Oleg Maisenberg, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Krystian Zimerman, he won first prize and the audience prize at the Geneva International Piano Competition in 2001. Christian A. Pohl ist Pianist, Professor für Klavier und Klaviermethodik an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig, Autor, sowie international gefragter Pädagoge und Juror. Ausgebildet bei Felix Gottlieb und geprägt durch Meisterkurse bei Vitaly Margulis und Seymour Bernstein, konzertiert er solistisch und kammermusikalisch und gibt weltweit Meisterkurse und Seminare. Christian A. Pohl is a pianist, professor of piano and piano methodology at the Leipzig University of Music and Theatre, an author, and an internationally sought-after teacher and adjudicator. Trained by Felix Gottlieb and influenced by masterclasses with Vitaly Margulis and Seymour Bernstein, he performs as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles, and gives masterclasses and seminars worldwide.

Seit über zwei Jahrzehnten ist Murrhardt im Sommer Treffpunkt für talentierte Pianistinnen und Pianisten aus aller Welt. Jeder Teilnehmer arbeitet intensiv mit den Dozenten — im Einzelunterricht, in offenen Meisterklassen und in Konzerten vor Publikum.For over two decades, Murrhardt has been a summer meeting point for gifted pianists from around the world. Each participant works intensively with the faculty — in private lessons, open masterclasses and public concerts.
Die Akademie versteht sich nicht als Wettbewerb, sondern als Werkstatt: ein geschützter Raum, in dem künstlerische Entscheidungen erprobt, hinterfragt und gemeinsam weiterentwickelt werden.The academy sees itself not as a competition but as a workshop: a protected space in which artistic decisions are tried, questioned and developed together.
